Worldwide Flight Attendant Training Program
In 1984, I was hired by Pan American World Airways to develop a Corporate Image Training Program for 1000 new-hire flight attendants.
The flight attendant training was coordinated and executed with exacting precision through a strenuous twenty-four hour shift system that operated six days a week, and took over the Diplomat Hotel in Hollywood, FL. Alongside the team of Pan Am Flight Attendant Trainers, I counseled hundreds of flight attendant trainees and made recommendations that helped them achieve Pan Am's image and personal grooming standards in a friendly, professional setting that gave wings to their success. |
U.S. Flight Attendant Training Program

With the success of the flight attendant Corporate Image Training Program, I was hired to develop a full-time training program for all U.S. Pan Am Flight Attendants.
Combining all aspects of Corporate Image Development, I constructed a four-hour seminar which was presented twice a week to 150 incoming flight attendant trainees at Pan Am's World Headquarters in Miami.

Cost-Cutting Innovations

To reduce costly hotel conference room charges, used for image development counseling, I proposed that the unused National Airlines offices on the top floor of the Pan Am building be re-opened to accommodate the training program.
The move improved the program's overall management, and greatly reduced costs.

On-site manicurists provided treatments for female and male flight attendants twice a week. |
International Corporate Image Development

As Pan Am expanded its regional bases, I was hired to develop a full-time program for foreign national Pan Am Flight Attendants at bases in Bombay & Delhi, India; Frankfurt, Germany; London, England; Nairobi, Kenya; Tel Aviv, Israel; and Warsaw, Poland.
Flight Attendant Graduation Ceremonies

It was my privilege to oversee the graduation of hundreds of Flight Attendants into the Pan American World Airways Flight Services core group; and I was honored to form long-lasting professional relationships with Flight Attendants around the world.

Meaningful, enjoyable hard work

"You have learned a lot and you have given a lot -- of hours, energy, of caring. And what you have achieved is something of which I am very proud. Not only have you shared with your students the importance of a good image and shown them how to achieve such, but as importantly, you have shared with them your enthusiasm towards their new job responsiblities and towards Pan Am."
Amie Paroz
Director, In-Flight Services

Interviewed for The Airport Press, I emphasized the importance of Pan Am's Corporate Image standards.
